Bobby Dauderman finishes 19th in his first trip to “The Bama Bash”

HIGHLAND, IL (February 26th, 2009) – Bobby Dauderman Racing (BDR) made our first trip to Alabama’s Green Valley Speedway (GVS) in Glencoe, Alabama last weekend with mixed results.

The BDR team (Bobby, Michael, Chad, Nick & Joe) arrived in Glencoe, AL early Friday afternoon to begin
preparing for practice that evening. The practice sessions went well with the track and cars steadily
getting faster as the night went on.

On Saturday night, we ran a 2 lap qualifying session that would set the line ups for the 3 heat races to
follow. Our official time was a 16.046 which was over a second slower than our practice times from the
night before and only good enough for 21st overall.

Starting 7th in his heat, Bobby started making passes early and often to make his way to third on lap 9.
On lap 10 while passing for second, Bobby and second place running Billy Mayo made slight contact,
bending the right spindle on the front of the #18. Bobby was able to hold on for 5th to make the “Bama
Bash” on his first attempt! The real surprise was the tire damage that had occurred in only a 15 lap race.
The tires that would normally be used for several race nights at home had been destroyed in only 15
laps.

At the drop of the green flag team BDR knew we were in trouble. The combination of hard, us tires and
adjustments made by the team to lessen the abuse on the tires had made the car extremely free. Bobby
completed all 50 laps finishing in the 19th spot and gained some valuable seat time at the Alabama track.
While it was not exactly the weekend we had planned, we learned a lot about all kinds of tires and
Southern dirt for when we return to the track in March for the “GVS Crate Nationals” paying $25,000 to
the winner.

It was great to get back to racing...now we can't wait for the season to start!
